You may remember us as the Society of Sussex Wealdmen, formed as a Sunday walking group in 1926. We're still the same group, retaining the ethos of our founders, come hail or shine we'll be out there every Sunday (unless it happens to be Christmas Day).
The Autumn / Winter programme runs from October to March and walks are usually 12 - 16 miles long, starting and ending at the same car park with a pub stop along the route. The Spring / Summer programme has longer walks and sometimes includes a 3-day linear hike at Easter. Every year we have a weekend away, most often held over the May Day weekend
